Ice Cream Cup Cakes....

Me and the kids went with my mom, Tanna and her kids to The Pie for lunch last week. My mom went over to Coldstone and bought these cute icecream cupcakes for each kid. It was quite the mess. The kids thought they were great though!

Brooke White and kids...

A few seasons ago on "American Idol" was an amazing singer named Brooke White. I was rooting for her to win since I saw her in her audition but unfortunately it didn't work out that way. A few weeks ago I found out from my CRM at my West Jordan store that she would be coming to do a signing and do a small performance with her guitar. So of course I went and took the kids along as well. (Note to self... kids+sitting+toys and train= CRAZY MOM!!!) So she sang five songs which were all very good and then did a CD signing. She is as nice in person as she seemed on the show. I was very excited that we got a chance to say hi and get a picture with her. She's coming in September with Michael Johns, the guy on the same season as her who was from Australia, to perform at the Avalon. I might try to go up there and check them out but we'll see!!

Camping at Yellowstone

A few weekends ago my family and I went camping in Yellowstone. Now I'm the first to say that camping is most definitely not my thing. Everyone else loves it so I go but if I chose the vacation it would consist of a beach, sun, hot showers and room service. It was fun for the kids to get to see all the different animals that are not very common around home. Hailie especially wanted to see a "yocotee" and a "woof" as she put it. She did get the chance to see both which was fun for her. We also got to go and see "Old Faithful" and the hot pots which are not the most pleasant smelling thing there especially on a hot day but still very neat! While the vacation was only for about three days it was nice to get away from home and work. My mom mentioned that the year after next she would like to go to Disneyland so I will look forward to that trip most of all because hey what can I say, I still love that place!

To Start it all Off....

Since this will my official start to the blogging business I guess I better introduce who the "crew" consists of. First off Wes and I have been married for almost 7 years now and we have 2 kids. The fabulous Hailie who turned 5 in January and the main man Beau who just turned 3 in May. It's crazy to think that two kids straight out of school have created all this life that we're constantly surrounded by. We love it! There's nothing better than that!
Hailie has just recently finished pre-school and will be going to kindergarten in August which completely freaks me out. I can still remember the day that we brought her home! It was so surreal knowing that I was actually in charge of another human being.
My little man Beau will be starting pre-school in September as well at the same school that Hailie went to. We love it there! The teacher is amazing and so creative. She takes care of the kids like they were her own and she genuinely loves each and every kid that comes through her door. We're so lucky that it is also conveniently located in the same neighborhood as our house and we can also call the teacher our friend.
Wes is currently working at Kenecott Copper. He just started out there about 3 months ago but is already making a great impression! I work as the district administrative assistant for Barnes and Noble and have been here for over a year. I love to work here because reading is such a passion of mine!

Our house is in Riverton and we've been here for about 2 years now. Having your own home is amazing and frustrating at the same time. There's no landlord to call if something goes wrong cause its all on you. Lets just say that I am an excellent painter, stainer, patcher and I'm not too bad if something gets clogged. Wes takes care of everything else!
We're very fortunate to live where we do and be able to do the things we can and we appreciate every minute of it!!!
